I am currently in my 10th year working at EGCS but 15th years being a part of the school. I first joined Elk Grove Charter School as a student my freshman year. I graduated at the age of 16 and returned as a staff member at 18. First as an office assistant, then a program assistant, and currently the school secretary and registrar. Outside of work, I attend Sacramento State University, where I am working on my bachelor’s degree. Family is everything to me. I am fortunate enough to have an amazing and supportive family who have encouraged me to pursue my dreams. My family consists of my parents, siblings, and a dog. I also love to run and consider it my hobby. I have ran numerous half marathons and the CIM. I hope to one day be able to run the Big Sur.

This is my first year as Program Assistant at EG Charter. I previously worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Sacramento Rancho Cordova location as the Member Management Coordinator. My experience in education/administration started during my junior and senior year of high school as a TA in the front office at Laguna Creek High School. I also have a passion for dance, so I later co-directed LCHS' Infinite Motion Dance Company for two years. Along the years of teaching dance at various dance studios, I found myself wanting to focus more on the administration side. Even though I teach less, I continue to have performances with my current dance group @kaizenxkrew.

This is my 3rd year working in a school environment. It has been a complete new experience for me, it has allowed me to understand and educate myself more effectively in understanding our younger generation. I love being able to interact daily with different types of people. Previously, I worked in administering COBRA, HSA's and FSA's plans for about 12 years. Where I feel I excelled as a person is when I got my Real Estate license in my hometown of Santa Rosa for about 7 years. It was a really good feeling to help our community, family and friends understand the process of purchasing their homes. I also worked in Workers Comp. assisting in legal and as a translator for 3 attorneys in Vocational Career Rehabilitation. In my free time, I love to watch movies, travel to new places with my family and try new foods.
